"He is good at managing people. He was capable of getting our team to perform tasks that weren't always popular and sometimes needed to be done on short notice or over weekends or holidays. What helped was that he was sensitive to people's strengths and preferences, so he would get the person most suited for the task at hand to complete the job.
* He is tolerant of new ideas. I recall our project joining a cloud-based collaboration platform which was being introduced into the wider organisation at the time, which worked out well for us.
